A Matter of Perspective

After following the link in a blog post, and seeing some eye-popping calligraphy there, I was inspired to have a go.  This is my first attempt.  I’ve found that it’s not so easy to write on a slant!

  3. Sarah, that is fantastic! Congratulations on a job incredibly well done. I hope you had fun and continue to do more of this wonderful work:) It’s just beautiful.

  4. Oh my goodness, that looks incomprehensibly difficult to do – many congratulations Sarah!

  5. That’s a really great first attempt! Even my 30th+ attempts at ANYthing don’t turn out that well!

    • Thank you Becky. 🙂 I’ve just been reading your latest post. I’m sorry to hear about your mother and I hope that her recovery picks up soon.
Btw, sorry if I’m asking a dumb question but have you changed your avatar and the look of your blog recently?

      • Thank you so much, Sarah, for your well- wishes for my mother — I so appreciate them! It’s not a dumb question at all — you have a fantastic memory — yes, I have changed both, and still in the process with the blog. Thanks for noticing!

      • Well, thank goodness, I thought I was having a senior moment! 😀 I like the new look.

  6. There seems to be more engineering or drafting style on the dimension of this writing, Sarah. It’s just so grand. You did this by hand?

    • Thank you Perpetua. I did it on my graphics pad with a stylus. So I did it by hand, but in digital format. I could have done it on paper with a calligraphy pen but with my current set-up it’s easier to do my art on the electronic pad.

  7. Very cool and impressive. Cheers!

  8. Maybe it is the former earth science teacher in me but I was very drawn to the details of the shadows. Even though it was in black and white — the light was evident in the shadows. Wonderful.
