A Matter of Perspective

After following the link in a blog post, and seeing some eye-popping calligraphy there, I was inspired to have a go.  This is my first attempt.  I’ve found that it’s not so easy to write on a slant!

    • Thank you Becky. 🙂 I’ve just been reading your latest post. I’m sorry to hear about your mother and I hope that her recovery picks up soon.
Btw, sorry if I’m asking a dumb question but have you changed your avatar and the look of your blog recently?

      • Thank you so much, Sarah, for your well- wishes for my mother — I so appreciate them! It’s not a dumb question at all — you have a fantastic memory — yes, I have changed both, and still in the process with the blog. Thanks for noticing!

  6. There seems to be more engineering or drafting style on the dimension of this writing, Sarah. It’s just so grand. You did this by hand?

    • Thank you Perpetua. I did it on my graphics pad with a stylus. So I did it by hand, but in digital format. I could have done it on paper with a calligraphy pen but with my current set-up it’s easier to do my art on the electronic pad.

  8. Maybe it is the former earth science teacher in me but I was very drawn to the details of the shadows. Even though it was in black and white — the light was evident in the shadows. Wonderful.
